March 14, 2024 – Food truck season kicks off in March in New Cumberland. Tempt your taste buds with fresh, savory fare from food trucks around the region. March 16, 2024 – Don your green garb and kilts, and head to downtown New Cumberland Borough for the best St. Patrick’s Day Party Ever! Enter your pet in the pet parade, dance into the night to live music, kiss the Blarney Stone for good luck, take a shot at the thrilling ice luge, explore a variety of crafters and food vendors, enter fun contests and more. March 30, 2024 – Get your kids hooked on fishing! This free event, for anglers under age 16, is held in Borough Park from 8 a.m. to noon and will include fishing tackle giveaways, light refreshments, and fishing assistance from seasoned anglers. May 27, 2024 8:15 – 9:30 a.m. – The P.W. Milano Detachment of the Marine Corps League invites you to Riverside Park to attend their annual ceremony to honor the fallen. There will be speakers and the floating of a wreath in the Susquehanna River while rendering honors with a rifle salute and Taps. Find out more >>

May 27, 2024 • 11:30 – 2 p.m. – Honor those who gave up their lives so we could remain free. Attend a brief ceremony at Veteran’s Park in New Cumberland Borough, followed buy a parade that ends on Market Square in Downtown New Cumberland.  Find out more >>

In addition to outdoor events, there are many other ways to enjoy the spring season in New Cumberland Borough. Here are a few ideas:

Take a stroll in New Cumberland Borough’s downtown, and explore our shops and eateries. Make it a full day and attend a concert or movie.

After your bags are filled, tummies full and you’ve been entertained, stroll down Third Avenue to Riverside Park for views of the Harrisburg Skyline. You can also fish from the banks or launch your boat at the boat ramp.

Explore our parks and open spaces. Drop a line or take out your kayak in our new take-out only access along the Yellow Breeches Creek.
