If you are experiencing financial hardship and having trouble paying your bills, please visit the sites below to see if help is available.

Cash Assistance
If you have low income and limited resources, you may be able to receive cash assistance through Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) or General Assistance. Find available programs at the Department of Human Services or contact your local county assistance office

Heating Assistance/Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP)
The Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) helps families living on low incomes pay their heating bills in the form of a cash grant. Households in immediate danger of being without heat can also qualify for crisis grants.  For more information about LIHEAP, please contact your county assistance office.

PA American Water’s Water and Wastewater Assistance Program
Through Pennsylvania American Water’s H2O Help to Others Program™, they offer financial assistance for water and wastewater customers who qualify. To see if you qualify, contact the Dollar Energy Fund and under the provider dropdown select Pennsylvania American Water or call their program administrator, at (888) 282-6816.

Pennsylvania Homeowner Assistance Fund (PAHAF)
Assistance for homeowners to prevent mortgage delinquencies, default, foreclosure, displacement, and utility disconnection. For more information, visit PAHAF or call (888) 987-2423.

PPL Electric’s Assistance Programs
