The holidays are a special time of year, and New Cumberland Borough is no exception. There are many ways to celebrate the season for all ages in our community from attending festive events and shopping for unique gifts to savoring local fare and admiring holiday lights.

1. Accents on Bridge – A New Cumberland Gala

November 17, 2023 – Dance the night away at this elegant fundraising gala to support the purchase of benches, planters, and trash receptacles to enhance New Cumberland Borough. Enjoy a cocktail reception, silent auction, dinner, dancing, and live entertainment. Purchase tickets >>

2. SMT Turkey Trot

November 23, 2023 – Get your holiday season off to a healthy start with the SMT Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving morning. This 5K run or walk takes you through the streets of New Cumberland and is fun for the entire family. Proceeds benefit Vickie’s Angel Foundation. Sign up >>

3. New Cumberland Christmas Market

December 2, 2023 – The 2nd annual Christmas Market will be held on Market Square in downtown New Cumberland Borough from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Experience a taste of an authentic German Christmas Market with vendors selling handmade crafts, food, and live music. Find out more >>

4. Community Christmas Tree Lighting

December 3, 2023 – Enjoy the festive tree lighting at Elkwood Park. There will be a Christmas service telling the story of the Nativity; Christmas carols by the New Cumberland Town Band, cookies and hot chocolate. Find out more >>

5. Holly Luncheon: The Story of the Little Drummer Boy

December 12, 2023 – Join the Friends of the Library for their Holly Luncheon program featuring a presentation of The Story of the Little Drummer Boy. Reserve your lunch spot >>

6. Food Truck & Restaurant Rally & 2nd Thursday

December 14, 2023 – Stop at the food truck rally for a snack, dinner and/or dessert. Before or after you fill your bellies enjoy free horse-drawn wagon rides through town, capture a holiday memory with a picture with Santa and top of the night with a Christmas movie. Find out more >>

7. An Olde Town Christmas

December 16, 2023 – Celebrate the joy of the season with hayrides, sleigh rides, a live nativity, caroling, music, a fun run, holiday shopping, food, pictures with santa, crafts and games for YOUth, and more! Find out more >>

In addition to festive events, there are many other ways to enjoy the holiday season in New Cumberland Borough. Here are a few ideas:
