Legal Notice: Recycling Ordinance No. 718
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN BY the Council of the Borough of New Cumberland, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, of the intention to consider adoption of Ordinance No. 718 at a duly convened meeting of Borough Council to be held on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. at the Borough Administration Office, 1120 Market Street, New Cumberland, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania 17070.
Ordinance No. 718, if enacted, would amend and replace the existing recycling ordinance No. 522; provide for the recycling of certain solid waste materials in said Borough, except in accordance with the provisions of the ordinance; require that all recyclable materials, leaf/yard waste, and covered devices be conveyed to a transportation, processing or disposal facility; regulate the care and removal of recyclables and provide for the collection of recyclable materials only by authorized collectors in said Borough; establish fees and charges for the collection of recyclables; provide penalties for the violation of the ordinance; repeal all inconsistent ordinances or portions thereof; and establish an effective date.
Any interested citizen is invited to attend the aforementioned meeting to offer any comments or questions regarding the proposed Ordinance.
