Household Hazardous Waste Recycling
Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) consists of products in the home which are corrosive (drain cleaners or bleach), flammable (gasoline or kerosene), reactive (chemistry kits and photographic chemicals) or toxic (pesticides and insecticides). Penn Waste is NOT authorized to pickup these materials. These materials may NOT be placed in your curbside trash.
Cumberland County offers a HHW collection recycling program in an attempt to give the residents of Cumberland County an alternative disposal method for these types of wastes.
There are four events scheduled in 2024 – Thursday, April 11; Saturday, June 15; Saturday, August 17; and Thursday, October 24.
Appointments are required and a fee of $0.55/lb will be charged. Click here for more details and to sign up.
