Trash & Recycling Rate Increase for 2026

New Cumberland Borough is in its forth year of the solid waste and recycling contract with Penn Waste. Like many other nearby municipalities our rates for collection costs increased substantially in 2023. Penn Waste noted the primary reasons for the rate increases were increased fuel and labor costs. 

In 2026, trash and recycling services will remain the same, but the cost will be increasing from $99/quarter to $103/quarter per dwelling unit starting with the 2026 1st quarter bill, which is mailed around February 1, 2026 and due March 1, 2026.
